LSEG has joined forces with OpenAI to enhance access to licensed market data through AI-driven financial tools, aligning with its “LSEG Everywhere” strategy to scale AI in finance. This partnership introduces a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that allows ChatGPT users with valid licenses to securely tap into LSEG’s comprehensive financial content. Initially, users will be able to analyze LSEG’s market data and news directly within ChatGPT, with plans for further expansion. OpenAI will ensure secure enterprise access for financial professionals, while LSEG will implement ChatGPT Enterprise for its 4,000 employees, boosting productivity and internal AI capabilities. The MCP connector is set to launch during the week of December 8, 2025, further solidifying LSEG’s strategic partnerships in enterprise AI applications with companies like Microsoft and Databricks. LSEG’s Emily Prince and OpenAI’s Ashley Kramer emphasize that this collaboration enhances decision-making by delivering deeper insights and efficient workflows in financial services.
