Manus, the AI startup founded by a Chinese team and now based in Singapore, has surpassed US$100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) just nine months post-launch, claiming the title of “fastest growing start-up.” The company reported an impressive revenue run rate exceeding US$125 million, with month-over-month growth exceeding 20% since the release of Manus 1.5. Launched in March, Manus has gained attention as the industry’s first “general-purpose” AI agent, designed to autonomously perform tasks such as booking flights and generating research briefs. The recent Manus 1.5 update, introduced in October, highlights enhancements in speed and reliability for various tasks. Despite impressive growth figures, industry experts like Rui Ma caution that there’s no standardized method for calculating ARR, which may lead to potential misrepresentation in revenue claims by tech startups. This rapid ascendance positions Manus as a significant player in the AI landscape, with ongoing accelerations in product development.
