Microsoft’s Gaming Copilot AI assistant is set to launch for Windows PCs and the Xbox mobile app, expanding its testing phase with Xbox Insiders to all players aged 18 and older. Available this October on both Android and iOS, the assistant functions similarly to historical gaming help lines, offering real-time assistance through an overlay chat box. It can answer game-related questions, provide in-game tips, and offer Xbox account support, utilizing in-game screenshots to enhance its responses. Users can interact via voice chat or through a “Push to Talk” hotkey on PCs. Additionally, a customizable widget improves usability for longer interactions. Microsoft encourages community feedback to refine the Gaming Copilot experience as it prepares for broader availability and considers integration with forthcoming Xbox Ally handheld consoles, launching on October 16. Note that this service will not be available in mainland China.
