Midjourney Unveils Revolutionary AI Video Generation Tool

admin

Midjourney has launched its first public video generation model, allowing users to create short, 5-second clips from images or text prompts. After creating an image, users can press an “animate” button to generate a video, and add uploaded images as starting frames. The tool proposes a generic motion prompt but offers a manual option for customized movement. Users can extend the video length up to 21 seconds with various motion settings. Currently available only on the web and Discord, a subscription is required, with costs significantly higher for video compared to images. Midjourney faces a lawsuit from Disney and Universal, which claims the generator infringes on their copyrights by producing unauthorized copies of their works. Founded by David Holz, Midjourney aims to develop models for real-time open-world simulations, joining other tech giants like Google and OpenAI in the AI video generation space.
