Milestone Leverages NVIDIA Technologies to Develop Advanced AI Models for Smart Cities

Milestone’s Project Hafnia, now active in Genoa, Italy, focuses on developing AI-driven solutions for enhanced traffic management and smarter urban environments. Utilizing NVIDIA technology, the project incorporates the NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint for Smart City AI, along with synthetic video data generation through NVIDIA Cosmos. This approach allows Milestone to train vision language models (VLMs) responsibly, aligning with EU regulations such as GDPR. Milestone, in collaboration with European cloud provider Nebius, aims to ensure compliance and enhance transparency in AI development. The project has launched a VLM trained on transportation data from Genoa, advancing digital transformation in Italy’s public administration.
