Moderate Decline Amid Rising AI Aspirations Fueled by Internal ‘Veritas’ App

Apple is testing an internal AI app named “Veritas” to enhance Siri’s capabilities, aiming for a significant upgrade by March. This advanced chatbot system supports multitopic conversations and device-level tasks, helping Apple refine Siri through real-time simulations. Despite a slight decline in stock prices due to these developments, which ended at $255.46, Apple remains focused on its AI ambitions. The rollout is part of a broader strategy to improve AI features across its product ecosystem, including smart devices like HomePod and Apple TV.

To address previous setbacks, key personnel changes in the AI division have been made, with a new team leading Siri’s enhancement efforts. The revamped Siri will leverage generative AI to perform complex in-app tasks and improve user interactions. Apple is also exploring collaborations with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google to strengthen its AI foundation. Although plans for a consumer chatbot remain unclear, the company aims to integrate advanced search capabilities into future Siri versions.
