He emphasized that AI can automate tasks, save time, and reduce human error, ultimately fostering innovation and improved decision-making through data analysis. Ali announced plans for staff training on AI in early 2026 and mentioned a second annual lecture featuring notable guests, including President John Mahama of Ghana. Moreover, Ali revealed plans for merit-based recruitment in 2026 and assured that casual staff would transition automatically, given their training. He highlighted recent achievements, such as upgrading the NAN studio and renovating zonal offices, while committing to enhancing employee welfare. Ali encouraged staff to strive for excellence, aiming to become versatile “super reporters” skilled in multimedia. The efforts reflect NAN’s dedication to maintaining a competitive edge in journalism.
