Naver has launched “Kmed.ai,” a specialized large language model (LLM) for Korean medical care, at the “Medical AGI Event” hosted by Seoul National University Hospital. Developed in collaboration with the hospital, Kmed.ai incorporates Korean medical laws and treatment guidelines, significantly aiding medical staff with decision-making. The model achieved an impressive 96.4 points in the National Doctoral Examination, highlighting its expertise in medical specialization. Naver aims to enhance efficiency in healthcare settings by introducing a medical-specific agent platform that assists with tasks such as document writing and diagnosis. Chairman Lee Hae-jin emphasized the importance of safeguarding sensitive medical data while improving patient satisfaction. This initiative is seen as a crucial step towards establishing Korean medical Sovereign AI, with potential to transform healthcare delivery. Additionally, Naver is strengthening its healthcare sector by investing in global companies and developing tools like smart surveys and Pacation Summer for enhanced medical record management.
