Netskope Enhances One Platform with MCP Security Controls

Netskope (NASDAQ: NTSK) has introduced enhanced security features within the Netskope One platform to safeguard Model Context Protocol (MCP) communications, pivotal for AI agent operations. These capabilities allow for real-time identification of MCP servers and clients, extending the Netskope Cloud Confidence Index (CCI) risk scoring to MCP for adept risk assessment. Organizations can implement granular, context-based access policies, featuring a default block option for MCP traffic, enhancing data loss prevention and compliance measures. Additionally, they can log MCP events, detect non-human traffic, and identify sensitive data in use. Currently in Preview, these features aim for general availability in H1 2026. Netskope will showcase these innovations at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas. For optimal AI integration while maintaining security, organizations should monitor the accuracy of MCP detection and leverage these new features to mitigate risks associated with AI technology. More insights are available on the Netskope blog.
