In 2022, the arrival of ChatGPT significantly impacted library science, prompting discussions about the power and pitfalls of generative AI. Humanities librarian Laurie Bridges highlighted an early concern: patrons requesting non-existent materials based on AI-generated content, raising issues of information literacy.
