New Relic has launched its no-code New Relic Agentic Platform, enabling enterprises to build and monitor AI agents for data observability. This innovative software allows businesses to create, deploy, and manage both pre-built and existing AI agents to detect bugs and issues proactively. The platform supports the model context protocol (MCP), enhancing integration with other New Relic tools and external data sources.
Amid rising competition—following platforms like Salesforce’s Agentforce and OpenAI Frontier—New Relic aims to provide essential agent-building capabilities tailored for observability without being a standalone solution. Brian Emerson, the new chief product officer, emphasized that the platform is designed for specific outcomes within the observability domain, facilitating integration across existing enterprise tools.
Additionally, New Relic announced enhancements to its application performance monitoring (APM) agents, now incorporating OpenTelemetry (OTel) functionalities to streamline data management, addressing fragmentation challenges in enterprise tech adoption.
