Newport Economic Leaders Introduce AI Tool to Support Local Businesses

The Newport Area Chamber of Commerce and the Newport Economic Development Commission (NEDC) are introducing advanced data analytics tools for local businesses, landlords, and realtors through a subscription to Placer.ai, a location intelligence platform. This initiative aims to support local business growth and attract new ventures to the area. The reports generated will include insights into foot traffic, customer behavior, competitive analysis, and demographic trends, typically valued between $500 and $1,500 but offered free to chamber members based on membership levels. Landlords and realtors can also access these reports for free through chamber membership or by engaging NEDC in tenant recruitment. An informational session will be held on June 23 to educate businesses on utilizing the platform effectively. Starting July 1, 2025, the reports will be available upon request, with processing on a first-come, first-served basis.
