Nokia and AWS Unveil Groundbreaking Agentic AI-Driven Network Slicing with du and Orange at #MWC26

Nokia’s innovative AI-powered solution on AWS enhances network performance through intent-based network slicing. Utilizing advanced technologies, this solution continuously monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjusts radio access network (RAN) policies to align with service-level agreements (SLAs). Central to this technology are Nokia’s 5G AirScale base stations, MantaRay SMO, and Agentic AI modules, linked with the Amazon Bedrock AI platform. These modules harness open internet data, employing various operational modes—chatbot, on-demand, scheduled, and autonomous—to optimize network slicing for diverse use cases. With the integration of Nokia’s Edge Slicing solution, applications are delivered to users over secure, low-latency networks. Amazon Bedrock further supports intelligent network optimization by enabling access to foundation models and specialized AI agents that analyze historical RAN data. This hybrid approach allows telecom providers to utilize existing infrastructure while ensuring high scalability and flexibility in network operations across cloud and edge environments.
