This study, conducted for Safer Internet Day on February 10, gathered insights from 2,000 young individuals and an equal number of parents/carers. Despite the positive outlook on AI, there is a notable concern among youth, as 60% express anxiety about the potential for AI to create inappropriate images of them. These findings highlight the dual nature of AI’s impact, illustrating both its beneficial applications and the pressing need for safety measures. As AI usage continues to rise among young people, it underscores the importance of promoting responsible and secure usage of these technologies.
