NotebookLM has recently upgraded with significant features, notably the introduction of Gemini 3.1 Pro and enhanced slide customizations. Available for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, Gemini 3.1 Pro enhances core reasoning capabilities, improving the overall user experience.
The slide creation tool now supports Prompt-Based Revisions, allowing users to easily edit text, visuals, and colors with a simple interface in the Studio panel. After making changes, users can generate a new deck effortlessly. Furthermore, slides are now exportable in PPTX format, with Google Slides support on the horizon.
Additionally, the NotebookLM app for Android and iOS enables the customization of Video Overviews in various styles, enhancing visual storytelling. Users can also open Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides directly in their apps or browser tabs. To facilitate interactions, suggested questions will now appear during chats, further personalizing engagement.
