Oklahoma State University (OSU) has partnered with Google to introduce no-cost Google Career Certificates and AI training for its students, faculty, and staff. This initiative is part of Google’s $1 billion commitment to enhance American education and workforce competitiveness through advanced technologies. OSU is among the first institutions to join the Google AI for Education Accelerator, aimed at providing critical skills in AI and cloud computing. OSU President Jim Hess emphasized that this collaboration fosters hands-on learning, preparing students not just for future jobs but also for leadership roles. Furthermore, OSU Polytech, through its Institute of Technology, will address the demand for skilled electrical labor with a specialized training program. This program provides stackable credentials and hands-on experience, aligning with Google’s initiative to expand Oklahoma’s electrical workforce. This partnership positions OSU as a leader in workforce development and technological innovation, ensuring students are career-ready in an evolving job market.
