OpenAI and xAI Angels Invest in Swedish Startup Tzafon with $9.7M Pre-Seed Funding – BeBeez International

Tzafon, a pioneering AI research and development lab, has successfully secured a $9.7 million pre-seed funding round, marking Sweden’s largest in history. Focused on developing foundational AI models that emulate human-computer interaction, Tzafon aims to enable autonomous AI agents capable of complex task execution across various applications and systems. Initially backed by a $4.4 million investment from Streamlined, with contributions from Kakao VC and notable angels from OpenAI, Tzafon has expanded its funding through an extension led by HV Capital. The funds will help launch “Lightcone,” an innovative agent assisting users with multi-platform tasks, like managing Excel data or streamlining social media posts. With a partnership with Google Cloud, Tzafon boasts significant computational power for model training, ensuring a superior user experience. Operating from Stockholm, Tel Aviv, and San Francisco, Tzafon employs 15, planning to expand cautiously to around 25-30 employees for optimal productivity.
