Samsung and SK are collaborating with OpenAI on the Stargate initiative to enhance South Korea’s AI infrastructure. OpenAI has finalized agreements, including one with the Ministry of Science, to identify potential data center locations beyond Seoul. Additionally, OpenAI is partnering with SK Telecom to investigate developing an AI data center in South Korea. Collaborations with Samsung C&T, Samsung Heavy Industries, and Samsung SDS focus on evaluating and expanding data center capacity nationwide.
