While some see this as a potential threat to Microsoft Office by shifting workflows from document-centric to intelligence-centric, critics argue ChatGPT lacks the finesse of traditional software like PowerPoint and may carry risks, such as “hallucinations” which may lead to costly errors. Concerns about data privacy also persist, making some wary of connecting sensitive systems to ChatGPT. Despite optimism for an AI-driven “invisible app era,” skepticism remains regarding its current ability to replace established productivity tools.
