Group chats aim to simplify discussions around planning events, brainstorming, and project coordination while ensuring personal ChatGPT memories remain private. Users can easily start group chats by inviting others, and each participant can create a profile for better identification. The feature, powered by GPT-5.1 Auto, includes familiar tools like search, file uploads, and voice dictation, with limits only on AI responses. While the pilot introduces challenges like managing additional participants in ongoing chats, it highlights AI’s potential to enhance collaborative productivity.
