OpenAI is accelerating its plans to develop new data centers, a key part of its Stargate project aimed at enhancing generative AI tools like ChatGPT. In collaboration with Oracle and SoftBank, OpenAI announced the establishment of five new data centers across Texas, New Mexico, Ohio, and another undisclosed Midwest location. The ambitious Stargate project seeks to deliver 10 gigawatts of computing power, with projected investments nearing $500 billion.
