OpenAI is entering the recruitment market with its upcoming AI-powered hiring platform, the OpenAI Jobs Platform, designed to bridge the gap between businesses and potential employees. In a recent blog post, CEO of Applications Fidji Simo emphasized that the platform will utilize AI technology to find the best matches for companies’ needs and job seekers’ skills. Notably, while targeting large corporations, the platform will also focus on assisting local businesses and governments in sourcing AI talent. This move puts OpenAI in direct competition with LinkedIn, which is owned by Microsoft, a supporter of OpenAI. The launch is anticipated by mid-2026, amid LinkedIn’s own advancements in AI-driven recruitment solutions. By harnessing AI’s capabilities, the OpenAI Jobs Platform aims to revolutionize the hiring process, making it easier for employers and candidates to connect effectively.
