OpenAI Unveils ChatGPT Record: Real-Time Audio Recording, Transcription, and Summarization Tool

OpenAI has introduced “ChatGPT Record,” a new feature in its macOS desktop app for Pro, Team, Enterprise, and Edu users. This tool enables users to record, transcribe, and summarize audio, with sessions lasting up to 120 minutes. Recordings are transformed into structured summaries automatically, enhancing user experience. The feature is optimized for English and ensures user privacy by deleting audio files post-transcription, with no use of recordings for training purposes. Enterprise and Edu users can access the functionality via the Compliance API. This feature launched in early June, aiming to provide efficient audio management in professional and educational settings.
