Opera’s AI-powered browser, Opera Neon, has introduced a new feature that enhances research efficiency through task division. With its existing agents—Do, Make, and Chat—the addition of the Opera Deep Research Agent (ODRA) marks a significant upgrade. This fourth agent utilizes parallel processing, breaking down research queries into smaller tasks completed simultaneously, akin to how GPUs optimize multiple operations. Once the subtasks are finished, a supervisory AI reviews the findings to ensure comprehensive results, potentially prompting further information gathering as necessary. This innovative approach allows users to receive detailed insights in a shorter timeframe, generally between 5 to 20 minutes. Opera Neon has excelled in the DeepResearch benchmark, trailing only Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro. Integrated into the Omnibus alongside other agents, ODRA showcases Opera Neon’s commitment to enhancing user experience via agentic browsing. Subscription to Opera Neon is offered at $19.99 monthly.
