OnePlus has officially announced OxygenOS 16, which integrates the latest Android 16 features and Google’s Material 3 design. Set to roll out in November, the update targets the OnePlus 13 and other recent devices, offering significant aesthetic and functional improvements. Key enhancements are sorted into two categories: Breathe With You, focusing on system-wide design, and Thrive With Free Expression, allowing users to personalize their experience. Notable features include a “Liquid Glass” UI effect, customizable Quick Settings, and a redesigned home screen with adjustable grids and an app drawer Categories tab. Lock screen customization is enhanced with Flux Themes 2.0, enabling users to modify clock positions and wallpapers. The AI suite, named OnePlus AI, introduces tools like AI Writer and improved live transcriptions in the Recorder app, along with Google Gemini integration for the Mind Space app. Parallel Processing 2.0 further boosts system fluidity. The update will be gradually released, starting with the OnePlus 13.
