Polestar is enhancing its automotive innovation by integrating Google’s generative AI technology into its vehicles. The Swedish electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer has announced a partnership with Google to introduce the Gemini AI assistant, set to replace the decade-old Google Assistant across its lineup. This innovative AI will be unveiled at the Slush conference in Helsinki, Finland, on November 19-20, with plans for rollout starting in 2026 through future Google updates, beginning with US English. Unlike its predecessor, Gemini allows for more natural interactions, enabling drivers to engage in fluid, intuitive conversations rather than relying on rigid commands. One standout feature is Gemini Live, which enables real-time, conversational interactions while driving. This development highlights Polestar’s commitment to enhancing the in-car experience by making voice interactions feel more human and supportive, positioning Gemini as a crucial tool for a seamless driving experience.
