Priyanka Chaturvedi Expresses Gratitude to Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and MeitY for Notice to X Regarding Alleged AI Tool Misuse

Shiv Sena UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi commended Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for addressing her concerns regarding the misuse of artificial intelligence tools on the social media platform X. Following her letter, MeitY issued a notice to X, demanding accountability for the posting of objectionable images of women through fake accounts via the AI tool Grok. Chaturvedi emphasized the need for a safe online environment for women, highlighting that the misuse of AI tools constitutes a blatant violation of women’s rights. She received overwhelming public and media support and stressed that tech companies must implement safeguards as they develop AI technologies. The ministry has given X 72 hours to comply, take down inappropriate content, and provide an audit report. Chaturvedi’s advocacy underscores the importance of accountability in the tech industry and the rights of women in digital spaces.
