GitHub has launched a new enterprise-level agent control plane designed for AI systems, now available to all GitHub Enterprise Cloud customers utilizing Copilot. This suite of governance features enhances administrative control, making it easier for organizations to manage AI capabilities while ensuring safety. Key features include a consolidated view of administrative tasks, management of agent fleets, and the establishment of enterprise-level policies. Custom agents offer standardized adoption paths, enabling enterprises to push rules for static file paths and tailor settings based on organizational needs. Admins can monitor agent session activity, filtering by type and task state, while comprehensive audit logs reveal detailed agent actions. Upcoming fine-grained permission options will allow teams to decentralize AI administration without granting full ownership. Additionally, the MCP enterprise allowlist will help regulate MCP connections in VS Code. For more information, visit our AI controls documentation and engage with the GitHub Community.
