Rajasthan SOG Utilizes AI Tool to Uncover Exam Fraud

The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) has created an innovative AI-powered software tool to combat the rise of dummy candidates in government recruitment exams. This advanced technology integrates with the state’s SSO ID and One-Time Registration (OTR) databases, employing facial recognition to instantly identify individuals attending exams on behalf of others. Following the 2022 Senior Teacher Recruitment Exam, five dummy candidates, including three MBBS students and two teachers, were arrested thanks to this system. The software scans millions of candidate profiles, effectively matching photographs and signatures, even adjusting for age or hairstyle variations. Since its inception, over 50 lakh candidates have been examined, with over 2,000 suspected dummy candidates identified and 145 already arrested. The SOG’s commitment to utilizing this technology ensures stricter oversight and prevents future examination fraud, reinforcing the integrity of the recruitment process in Rajasthan. The implementation of live photo verification further bolsters this initiative.
