Rakuten Card Lite app users can now utilize a new artificial intelligence (AI) agent for inquiries related to their credit card statements. The AI can summarize monthly spending chronologically, provide statements for specific periods, and estimate spending in categories such as supermarkets and restaurants. Available for free to all Rakuten Card members, the AI agent supports both English and Japanese and was launched recently. Plans are underway to expand this service to the Japanese-language Rakuten Card app, adding more languages and covering a wider range of questions in the future. This initiative is part of Rakuten’s broader “AI-nization” strategy aimed at enhancing operations and user experience across the Rakuten Ecosystem. Additionally, Rakuten partnered with Google to integrate shopping features into YouTube, allowing users to explore products from Rakuten Ichiba directly through video content. This collaboration aims to boost merchant growth and enhance user convenience in online shopping.
