Rapidus Corporation has launched an AI-powered semiconductor design suite, called Raads (Rapidus AI-Agentic Design Solution), aimed at accelerating the development of next-gen chips. Unveiled at SEMICON Japan 2025, this innovative toolset integrates artificial intelligence into electronic design automation (EDA) to tackle rising design complexity and costs, particularly with Rapidus’s planned 2nm technology.
Key components include the Raads Generator for generating RTL code, Raads Predictor for early-stage validation, and future tools like Raads Navigator and Optimizer for design verification and performance tuning. The suite is expected to cut semiconductor design time by up to 50% and lower development costs by around 30%, enhancing productivity through automation.
