Digital Transformation in Education: AI in Telangana Schools
In Adavi Srirampur village, Peddapalli district, the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) is harnessing the power of AI, specifically Perplexity.ai, to enhance learning experiences. This initiative is made possible through the Telangana government’s T-Fiber program, which aims to deliver high-speed, affordable broadband connectivity to every household. As part of its Proof of Concept, Adavi Srirampur is one of four pilot villages showcasing how digital infrastructure bridges educational gaps. A recent video from the T-Fiber team highlighted students engaging with Perplexity.ai, utilizing voice-enabled queries to explore beyond their textbooks. Perplexity’s CEO, Aravind Srinivas, praised the initiative on social media, emphasizing the importance of accessing global knowledge. IT Minister D Sridhar Babu recalled his previous discussions with Srinivas and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to achieving technological equity. This collaboration exemplifies the transformative role of digital tools in modern education, fostering deeper learning and engagement among students.
