A recent survey by Indeed reveals that nearly 43% of Indian workers are ready to embrace generative and agentic AI in their workplaces over the next two to five years. Focusing on over 3,000 white and blue-collar employees, the report highlights that mid-career professionals aged 35 to 54 exhibit the highest confidence in navigating AI, with 49% expressing readiness compared to just 41% of younger workers aged 18 to 24. The motivation for AI adoption includes career advancement, staying updated with technology, and enhancing work efficiency. About 56% of mid-career professionals seek additional training to remain relevant, while one-third voice job security concerns amid rapid technological changes. Notably, 34% anticipate frequent use of generative AI tools, while 25% expect agentic AI integration, which can autonomously perform complex tasks. The rise in interest indicates a transformative phase where workers actively engage with AI advancements.
