AI-powered stethoscopes represent a groundbreaking advancement in cardiac care, enabling rapid detection of heart conditions such as heart failure, heart valve disease, and abnormal heart rhythms within seconds. An innovative study conducted by researchers from Imperial College London and the British Heart Foundation tested this technology across 205 GP surgeries in London, revealing that the AI stethoscope significantly enhances diagnostic accuracy. It replaces traditional chest pieces with a compact device, using advanced microphone technology to capture subtle heartbeat and blood flow variations imperceptible to the human ear.
