In China, an AI tool named PANDA is revolutionizing pancreatic cancer detection, often catching the disease before symptoms appear. A recent case involved 57-year-old Qiu Sijun, who discovered he had early-stage pancreatic cancer during a routine diabetes check-up. The AI system, used at the People’s Hospital in Ningbo, analyzed over 180,000 CT scans, identifying 24 cancer cases, including 14 early-stage instances.
