At NAMM 2026, LANDR unveiled two AI-powered music-making assistants: Blueprints and Layers, designed to streamline music creation from ideation to production. Blueprints functions as a songwriting assistant, generating multitrack starters based on user-selected parameters like genre and instrumentation. It allows for lyric input and element customization, enabling creators to export stems compatible with any DAW. Layers, co-developed with Aiode, enhances music by adding parts like guitars and drums, essentially acting as a virtual roster of session musicians. Both tools operate within LANDR’s “Fair Trade AI framework,” ensuring that all AI models are trained on ethically sourced data from artists who are compensated for their contributions. While Blueprints is currently in closed beta and set for wider release in February, Layers is available in public beta. Both will be included in a LANDR Studio subscription, catering to users looking to balance AI assistance with creative control.
