A recent study by Check Point, a leading Israeli cybersecurity firm, reveals that Israeli organizations face approximately 2,000 cyberattacks weekly, with the telecommunications sector being the most targeted—averaging around 4,000 attacks per week. Transportation and Logistics also surpass global averages, experiencing 3,017 attacks compared to a worldwide average of 1,169. These insights were shared by Check Point’s CPO, Nataly Kremer, during Cyber Week at Tel Aviv University, emphasizing escalating security issues due to increased AI usage. Kremer expressed concern that while AI enhances productivity, it also introduces significant vulnerabilities. Over a month, Check Point identified around 10 major security flaws in AI applications like OpenAI Codex. Organizations adopting AI must implement dedicated security layers to safeguard against risks like training data manipulation and information leakage. Comprehensive protection is essential for AI models, training data, the AI supply chain, and automated interactions to mitigate security threats.
