With a 2026 compliance deadline approaching, the agent will utilize new Sage Copilot capabilities launching in October, automating tasks and organizing client information to reduce manual workload. Starting April 2026, self-employed individuals and landlords earning over £50,000 must maintain digital records and submit quarterly updates using compatible software, impacting over 4 million taxpayers. The MTD Agent helps accountants manage complexity efficiently by segmenting clients, setting reminders, and flagging issues early. As part of Sage’s investment in AI, this agent upholds the highest compliance standards, allowing accountants to focus on strategic client support. Furthermore, Sage plans to expand this network to include agents for VAT, payroll, and cash flow, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
