Salesforce Launches Headless 360: Empowering Agent Development with API and MCP Integration

Salesforce’s annual developer conference, TrailblazerDX 2026 (TDX), took place on April 15 in San Francisco, highlighting significant innovations, particularly the new Salesforce Headless 360 environment. This next-generation development platform enables developers to utilize APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and command-based tools without directly accessing Salesforce screens. Headless 360 offers over 60 MCP tools, 30 preconfigured coding skills, and supports connectivity with AI coding environments like Claude Code and Codex. Additionally, it features an “Experience Layer” for multi-channel interactions across platforms like Slack and WhatsApp, along with testing and evaluation tools for agent reliability.

Salesforce also upgraded Agent Fabric for managing multi-agent solutions, providing a visual design interface and supporting various language models, enhancing scalability. They revamped AgentExchange to integrate existing ecosystems and introduced “semantic search” to improve solution alignment, while announcing a $50 million investment for the AgentExchange Builders Initiative, empowering partners in the agentic space.
