Samsung has launched the One UI 8.0 beta for the Galaxy S23 series, based on the upcoming Android 16. This update includes many new features; however, it notably lacks the Expectation AI tool called “Now Brief.” This omission has disappointed early adopters, as Now Brief, which launched with the Galaxy S25, curates information like weather and calendar events, offering a personalized user experience.
Interestingly, the Galaxy S24 series received the Now Brief feature shortly before the S23 beta release. This inconsistency raises questions about Samsung’s software strategy, possibly indicating a trend of reserving advanced AI capabilities for newer models to promote upgrades.
As of now, it is uncertain whether the Now Brief feature will be included in future updates for the Galaxy S23. Users can still join the One UI beta program through the Samsung Members app to explore the new tools available.
