Samsung’s Android XR headset, codenamed Project Moohan, is set for release following its collaboration with Google and Qualcomm in the mixed reality sector. After being previewed at events like Galaxy Unpacked, CES 2025, and Mobile World Congress 2025, live demos have generated significant interest. According to a report from Korea, Samsung plans to officially unveil the headset during the Unpacked event in South Korea on September 29, with sales beginning in Korea on October 13, followed by a global launch. Prior to this, a keynote in July may showcase prototypes alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. The headset, designed to run on the Android XR platform with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip, features a high-resolution micro-OLED display and integration with Gemini AI. As anticipation mounts, clear release dates offer a sense of excitement for this innovative mixed reality device.
