Solid Data Inc. has secured $20 million in seed funding to tackle the issue of error-prone AI agents in enterprises. Led by Team8 and SignalFire, this investment will accelerate the deployment of Solid’s AI-ready semantic models, designed to help AI systems better verify and comprehend business data. Current AI solutions struggle due to inconsistencies in organizational data, making them unreliable for automation. Co-founder Yoni Leitersdorf emphasizes that AI fails not due to a lack of intelligence, but because it doesn’t grasp business semantics. To address this, Solid introduces “semantic engineering,” enabling AI to adapt as business definitions evolve. This approach significantly improves AI accuracy—from 20-30% to over 85%—and reduces manual data maintenance by 50-70%. Moreover, new AI systems can be deployed within six months instead of one to two years. Solid is offering a free 30-day trial for new customers, enhancing the reliability of their AI systems while supporting product development with the raised capital.
