OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, aims to generate 250 gigawatts of electricity for new data centers by 2033, a target equal to half of Europe’s peak load. Emerald AI’s innovative approach involves redistributing workloads during these peak times, effectively balancing the load on the grid. This flexibility, theorized to be necessary less than 2% of the time, could enable AI data centers to operate efficiently.
