In the evolving landscape of AI security, OAuth 2.0 is crucial for managing AI Agent interactions across multiple applications. Our latest initiative focuses on integrating the Model Context Protocol (MCP) with Duo’s security-first identity access management (IAM) strategy. The new MCP integration, now in Beta, provides a framework for secure communications among AI agents, emphasizing the principle of least privilege. Key advancements include support for Dynamic Client Registration (DCR), allowing agents to self-register securely without manual intervention, and Resource Indicators (RFC 8707) that specify valid resources for token access. We’re also preparing for Client ID Metadata Documents (CIMD), streamlining trust establishment between agents and servers. As we advance our infrastructure, we invite your feedback on these initiatives found in the Duo Admin Panel. Join us in shaping a secure, interoperable environment for the next generation of AI applications.
