AI has become essential in eCommerce, with 81% of Asia Pacific shoppers expecting AI-driven features like visual try-ons and smart assistants, according to DHL’s “eCommerce trends report 2025.” The report highlights that 47% of APAC consumers are using voice commands for shopping, indicating a shift in how people interact with online retail. Social media platforms have evolved into key shopping destinations, with 85% of shoppers anticipating future purchases on sites like TikTok and Instagram, influenced heavily by social trends. Delivery and returns remain critical factors; 77% of shoppers abandon carts without preferred delivery options, and 75% withdraw if return processes fall short. Sustainability is also crucial, with 79% of shoppers considering it in their purchasing decisions. In fact, half have dropped items due to sustainability concerns, and many express interest in recycling and buy-back programs, demonstrating a clear shift toward environmentally conscious shopping.
