Synology has launched DiskStation Manager (DSM) 7.3, enhancing storage efficiency, security, collaboration, and flexibility. This update addresses modern data management challenges with key features such as Synology Tiering, which automatically sorts files between “hot” and “cold” storage based on access frequency, optimizing storage management.
Security remains a top priority, with DSM 7.3 integrating over 50 proactive security updates and implementing risk indicators like KEV, EPSS, and LEV to enhance cyber threat protection. The new Office Suite upgrades improve team collaboration through shared labels and enhanced file requests within Synology Drive.
Additionally, the Synology AI Console has gained traction across over 430,000 systems, enabling on-premises AI collaboration while ensuring data privacy with custom masking options. Users can now install third-party drives on select models, increasing storage flexibility. DSM 7.3 is now available for download, catering to evolving storage demands and AI integration within business environments.
