A recent Microsoft survey reveals Taiwan ranks 23rd globally in artificial intelligence (AI) usage, with 28.4% of its population utilizing AI technologies, surpassing the U.S. at 28.3%. The survey from the Microsoft AI Economy Institute highlights that global AI adoption rose to 16.3% last year, indicating a significant increase in technology acceptance. Interestingly, developed economies have an average AI usage rate of 24.7%, while developing economies report only 14.1%. The United Arab Emirates leads with a staggering 54% AI usage, bolstered by governmental initiatives such as the establishment of an AI Ministry. South Korea has seen a notable rise in AI usage, attributed to enhanced Korean-language algorithms and supportive legislation. Challenges persist in distributing AI benefits uniformly across regions, emphasizing the need for improved AI integration in various economies.
