Tata Play Enhances Procurement with Zycus’ Autonomous Negotiation Agent

Tata Play has integrated Zycus’ Autonomous Negotiation Agent (ANA) into its procurement processes, revolutionizing its approach to tail spend management. This AI-driven tool allows Tata Play to handle fragmented, low-value purchases more strategically. As an early adopter in the media and entertainment sector, Tata Play is leveraging ANA to streamline supplier negotiations and enhance decision-making. Jaswinder Saini, Tata Play’s Vice-President, stated that this integration transcends mere automation, transforming their sourcing strategy from reactive to proactive large-scale negotiations. The implementation is expected to significantly reduce costs—projected at 15%—and boost productivity by automating low-value transactions, particularly in Facilities Management. Zycus’ ANA operates on the Merlin Agentic Platform, utilizing Agentic AI for efficient negotiations. Aatish Dedhia, Zycus’ CEO, emphasized that Tata Play’s strategy embodies “deep value procurement,” positioning the company at the forefront of procurement innovation in the industry.
