Meta has begun rolling out its WhatsApp Status AI image editing feature to select iOS beta users, enhancing how users update their photos directly within the app. The feature, available in WhatsApp beta version 25.37.10.73, introduces advanced, AI-driven editing styles like Anime, Comic Book, and 3D, replacing traditional filters. Users can create multiple versions of an image with the “redo” button, allowing for personalized, dynamic updates.
This AI editor also enables granular changes, allowing users to add or remove objects and modify specific areas while maintaining natural backgrounds. A new animation feature allows static images to convert into subtle animations, enriching the visual experience of Status updates.
Currently limited to a small group of testers, broader access is anticipated soon. With these innovative tools, WhatsApp aims to transform Status into a vibrant sharing platform, reducing dependence on external image editing apps.
