Microsoft has introduced Copilot 3D, an innovative AI feature that converts 2D images into 3D models, enhancing creative possibilities for users. As part of Copilot Labs, this tool allows exploration and trial of concepts without the complexities of traditional 3D software. Launched shortly after the integration of GPT-5 into Copilot, Copilot 3D is accessible for free via Microsoft or Google accounts; however, it’s best used on desktop browsers. To utilize Copilot 3D, users can follow a simple process: navigate to ‘Copilot.com,’ select the ‘Labs’ section, and upload a clear background image in PNG or JPG format (under 10MB) to receive a 3D model in GLB format. These models can be integrated into various 3D applications like Blender and Adobe Dimension. Microsoft advises users to upload only original images to avoid account bans. Overall, Copilot 3D simplifies the 3D modeling process, empowering users with cutting-edge AI technology.
